Dr. Evan Boland

Dr. Evan Boland is an Atlanta native who attended Georgia Tech for her undergraduate degree before earning her dental degree from the Dental College of Georgia. Q&A

What do you want patients to say about their experience with you?

I hope my patients know that I truly care about them as people. While taking care of their teeth is obviously important to me, I care just as much about how they are doing overall and want to help them in their daily lives as well.

What is your favorite thing about dentistry?

I love that dentistry is a little like arts and crafts – I get to use my hands and creativity to help make people’s teeth beautiful again. But on a deeper level, I love that I get to connect with people at least every six months. I truly love people and want to get to know them on a deeper level while I’m taking care of them.

How do you stay up to date on the latest dental techniques?

I’m constantly researching and watching videos from other dentists I look up to. I also try to take courses throughout the year that interest me. I love learning from friends in different specialty fields as well, which helps me make sure my patients are getting the best and most comprehensive care possible.

If you weren’t a dentist, what would you do?

I almost became a missionary straight out of college, so I could see myself doing that. My parents owned bakeries when I was growing up, so I could definitely see myself owning my own business or restaurant if I weren’t a dentist.

Which charity or organization are you most passionate about supporting?

GHO (Global Health Organization) is an organization I went on multiple dental mission trips with during college, so it is very meaningful to me. I also support FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students), which had a huge impact on my faith journey in college. I still have several friends who serve as missionaries with FOCUS, so it is something I love staying connected to.
